WIRED Mag
Challenge
The challenge was to create a “mock up” of a real magazine, WIRED Magazine in this instance, producing both a cover as well as an internal spread for the project. The subject matter and copy were provided.
Solution
I tried to follow a color scheme that reminded me of computers and digital themes, as well as use typography that elicited a robotic type of feel. I also tried to follow the same style of WIRED Magazine in order for my work to best fit into the rest of their editions.
Results
In the end, I felt extremely satisfied with my graphics and was very happy with how cohesive everything felt, it all came together very smoothly. This project taught me the importance of the grid tool and the difference typography can make within a project.
